Trust Scores and Risk Levels Are Not a Guarantee

Every Trust Score, risk level, and verification status on Check Before Trust is generated from a combination of community-submitted reports, an automated scoring algorithm, and moderator review. These are informational tools, not a certification of safety or danger.

A website, phone number, email address, or company with a high Trust Score or "Not Reported" status has not necessarily been actively investigated — it simply means no reports currently exist in our database, or our algorithm has not identified risk signals. A "Not Reported" Trust Score is explicitly a baseline estimate, not a safety certification. Absence of a report is not proof of legitimacy.

Conversely, a low Trust Score or "Dangerous" label reflects reports submitted by members of the public and does not constitute a legal finding that fraud occurred. We label entities "Verified" only after deliberate moderator review, and we never make that designation automatically from report volume alone.

Reports, descriptions, and evidence on this Service are submitted by users, including anonymous users. While we review reports before publication, we cannot independently verify every factual claim in every report.
